Hello!

My name is Kathy Guy. I have worked with Lee County Schools since 2005. Although I have served in various roles, my focus has always been student success. I earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Auburn University. I also hold a Professional Leadership Certificate as an Instructional Leader from Auburn University.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 2 children. We enjoy the outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible doing various outdoor activities. 

Graduated from Reeltown High School in 1988. I went to work at Sanford Middle School in the Fall of 2009 supervising the ISD/ISS classroom while coaching football and baseball for 5 years. I moved to Beauregard High School in the fall of 2014 to be the Alternative School Instructor and coach offensive line for football.  We were able to win the class 5A state championship in 2016. I became the head softball coach in 2017. In 2024 we had a record of 32 - 11 winning the Class 5A Area 5 Championship, winning the 5A Central Regional Championship and finishing in the State Elite 8.  We were only the second team to win a Regional and only the third team to make the State Tournament in school history.  I had 15 players who signed softball scholarships to play at the college level. I retired from coaching and moved to the Lee County Learning Center in the Fall of 2024. I have been married for 35 years to the former LeAnn McWhorter of Dadeville, Al. We have two children, our daughter Haley is 31, and son Walker is 27. We welcomed our first grandchild, Callie Ann, into this world on September 26, 2022 and our second grandchild, Waylon Scott, was born on November 17, 2023.
